Privacy Policy

v. 1.002

Our commitment to you

At dopay we are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personal information. We have adopted a series of Privacy Notices in order to address your specific privacy concerns. These together describe the personal information that we, as a data controller, collect from or about you; how we use it and to whom we disclose it; how long we keep it; what steps we will take to make sure it stays private and secure; and fundamentally our commitment to maintain your rights over your personal data. We have set out a brief overview below.

How do we use your personal information?

We use your personal information to enter into contractual relationships with you and where relevant make it possible to offer, demonstrate and/or provide the product or services you have requested from us, or a third party, and for any additional purposes for which we have obtained your consent or we have another lawful reason for using it. We or our partners may sometimes use systems to make automated decisions about you or your business but we only do this where it helps us to make sure our decisions are quick, fair, efficient and correct.

What personal information do we collect and why?

We collect and maintain only the personal information reasonably required, in respect of all individuals with whom we interact. We may record details of your interactions with us and may also place a “cookie” on the hard drive of your computer to track your visits to our websites, although you can prevent this through your browser. We do all this to help keep your data and your money safe, and to enable us to investigate with you and provide you with the products and services you want from us, or from a third party, and to provide you with the information we think is relevant to the products and services you want to receive.

When do we disclose your personal information?

In consideration of local legislation, we may share your personal information with our employees, contractors, consultants and other parties (including other members of the dopay group). We do this, if and to the extent necessary for them, to assist us with establishing, maintaining and managing our products, services or contractual relationship with you.

Your consent is important to us

It is important to us that where we collect, use or disclose your personal information we have your consent to do so or you have provided consent to a third party to share that information with us. We will normally seek explicit consent but depending on the sensitivity of the personal information, your consent may be implied, deemed (using an opt-out mechanism) or express. Express consent can be given orally, electronically or in writing. Implied consent is consent that can reasonably be inferred from your action or inaction.

How is your personal information protected?

We will maintain physical, technical and procedural safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity of your personal information. These safeguards are designed to protect your personal information from loss and unauthorized access, copying, use, modification or disclosure. We may transfer your personal information outside your current country of residence but when we do this, we will ensure it has an appropriate level of protection and that it is lawful.

How long do we retain your personal information?

We retain your personal information only for as long as we believe it is necessary, and if you want us to stop using your personal information, you can ask us to delete, remove, or stop using it. This will only affect the way we use information when our reason for doing so is that we have your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we, or a third party, may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. If this is so, we will tell you.

Access to your personal information

You can ask to see the personal information that we hold about you. If you want to review, verify or correct your personal information, please ask your normal dopay contact or our Data Protection Officer at dpo@dopay.com.
